The Veterans Memorial Pool in McClure will hold its ninth annual Basket and Chinese Auction on March 4 at the McClure American Legion Social Room on the corner of Forbes and Ohio streets.
The Chinese Auction will begin at noon and last until 4:30 p.m., with the drawing following. The Basket Auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Food will be available for purchase all day.

Some packages of Skoal, Copenhagen, Cope and Husky brand smokeless tobacco are being recalled after sharp metal objects were discovered in cans.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says there have been no injuries but they are investigating complains in at least six states.
Most of the company’s cans are not affected by the recall. Anyone who has one of the recalled cans can return it for a refund.
This recall applies to lots with no printed code on the bottom of the can, or with codes that begin with the letters “F”, “R”, “K”, or “P”.
Pennsylvania State Police are searching for George Simpson, a missing 67-year-old man from Huntingdon County.
Simpson’s wife called police Wednesday to report him missing.
He was last seen at his home and is believed to have left there on foot and is without his wallet and identification.
Simpson is described as 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
He has gray hair and beard, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green coat black hat and black boots.
Anyone who spots Simpson is urged to call the state police in Huntingdon at 814-627-3161.
