Emergency crews were busy Tuesday night in Juniata County when two different crashes happened within several minutes of each other.
One of those crashes was near Route 75 North in Spruce Hill Township, the vehicle crashed and one person was lying in a nearby field.
The other crash happened along state Route 75 North in Tuscarora Township near Mountain Road.
Both crashes had the road shut down until debris was cleared.
Both crashes are under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
The Juniata County Food Pantry will hold a distribution of food and other groceries for families who live at the East Waterford end of Juniata County from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at McCoysville Presbyterian Church, located in McCoysville between Routes 35 and 75 South.
Christmas meal groceries will also be distributed at this time. To be eligible for any Juniata County Food Pantry distribution, families must live in Juniata County and meet certain income guidelines.

The LPD is currently investigating multiple vehicle break ins on the East side of Lewistown. The police department would like to remind everyone to please keep your vehicle locked at all times even if you’re “just gone for a second”.
Also, make sure you take your valuable items inside your house or put them out of sight when your vehicle is unattended. And if you can, park in well lit areas.

Tonight at 7pm there will be a Community Christmas play, they will be hosting the play “Behind the Pageant.” at McVeytown United Methodist Parish, on Queen Street in McVeytown.
